DARCO Relief Insert Walker 2.0 Orthoses

Indications

• Arthrodesis of the first TMT joint (Lapidus arthrodesis)

• After metatarsal fracture surgery

• After hallux valgus surgery

• After hallux rigidus surgery

• After hammer toe and claw toe surgery

• Phalangeal fractures

• After rearfoot surgery

• In cases of ankle ligament rupture

• Post-operatively after removal of Haglund’s exostosis (with an intact Achilles tendon)

• Pre- and post-operative / post-traumatic immobilisation of the lower leg/foot; stable foot or ankle fractures; severe ankle sprains

• Upper ankle joint arthrodesis

• Post-operatively after Weber fractures

Description

The DARCO Relief Insert Walker 2.0 orthosis offers a sustainable therapy concept with high wearing comfort. The walker can be used as a comfortable positioning splint by removing the high sectoral off-loading shoe DARCO Relief Dual® Plus. In addition, the walker offers numerous individual customisation options. The width of the Splinting System automatically adjusts to the circumference of the patient’s calf. If necessary, the adjuster can be unhooked if the calves are particularly wide. Using the laterally mounted pump and valve, the volume of the air chambers can be increased or decreased for additional ankle stabilisation. The blue liner components (calf liner, front liner and forefoot strap) can be removed from the splint and machine washed at 60°C.

The DARCO Relief Insert Walker 2.0 orthosis can be further customised with all types of DARCO Arch Cushion insoles for additional plantar pressure relief. The pre-fitted PegContour® Insole Uni — an off-loading cushion insole with a heel contour and memory foam effect — achieves optimal pressure redistribution within the walker. By removing individual pegs, the insole can be adjusted to the patient’s needs, enabling selective pressure relief.

Cleaning instructions

• Shoe, splint, insole, wedges: for light soiling, use a damp cloth or a commercially available disinfectant.

• Liners: for washing, remove the blue calf liner and front liner (washing possible at approx. 60°C). The optional forefoot strap can also be washed at 60°C. The air liner with air chambers and pump is NOT washable.

• Do not tumble dry or dry on a radiator ➝ Allow to air-dry only.
